Ma Masion Restaurant @ The Central

Ma Masion Restaurant, Japanese-French style western cuisine. A small cosy spot nuzzled in a corner at The Central. Dim lighting, country style decor and a relaxed ambience.

We had escargot for appetiser, seasoned with butter and garlic, it is very tasty, recommended to try. Entree are Omu rice with beef stew (brown sauce) and Steak with grilled potato. The Omu rice is fantastic for people who loves scrambled eggs, half done omelete covered the ketchup fried rice, which perfectly complements the cooked-till-tender brown sauce beef stew.

Overall dining experience is good but slightly pricey and generally, you have to queue during dinner time.

V-Day Picnic Dinner @ Botanic Gardens Symphony Stage

Dinner menu: Alfafa sprouts with wafu sauce salad, President's cheddar cheese and shoulder ham with mixed grain sandwich bread, Trentham 2006 Petit Verdot Wine, Japanese snacks to complement the wine.
A very simple meal but surprisingly satisfying, well, it's who you dines with which makes a whole lot of difference.
A very romantic place for a nice evening dinner, the grass slope oversees Shaw Foundation Symphony Stage, accompanied by a gentle breeze. It's the perfect spot for a evening picnic. Beware of vicious mosquitoes though!

Pier Eleven @ Marina South

Cuisines: European & Mediterranean

Ambience: Romantic, good place to visit during V-day

Food: We had fried soft shell crab for appetiser, rib-eye steak for main course and apple tart with vanilla ice cream for dessert

Cost: Average

Service: Needs improvement for the service crew, except for the Manager

Overall Experience:
The place is good for dinner only not much entertainment around less a few pubs and as for transport wise those who dun drive plan how to get out after that if you intend to stay there after the food.

Essential Brew @ Holland Village

A place for dessert and tea and finger food. The atmosphere is not bad for a nice chat with a group of close friends, O and you need to take off your shoes before you can sit on their parquet flooring ;) so those with 'Hong Kong' feet beware!!! ;)

Their molten fudge cake is worth a try :)

World's Most Delicious Meh Meh Beef Stew

Meh Meh's love lunch-box, though it's simple but very tasty!

Shokudo Japanese Food Bazaar

A very marche-like Japanese restaurant, Raffles City basement. Basically, you can find here most authentic Japanese food and western-inspired Jap food. Nice decor, love the sofa seats but the waiters will eagerly help you clear the dishes. We tried Japanese hamburger omelete rice, pan fried gyoza, grilled bacon with mushroom, wasabi mayo prawn fritters.
